Black Diamond Silk Dome Tweeter (Brighton Speakers)
The Brighton series Black Diamond Silk Dome tweeter creates the wonderful high frequency clarity that has become a Sinclair Audio signature. Extremely light silk is heated to extreme temperatures, molded into its dome shape, and treated with our proprietary Black Diamond amalgamation to give it the strength and rigidity it needs to maintain its shape. The tweeter also features strong neodymium magnets, ferrofluid in the gap and thermal protection circuits to handle high power and maintain perfect performance.

Woven Fiberglass Hybrid Woofer (Brighton Towers & Architex Series)
Woven Fiberglass possesses an incredible strength to weight ratio which is why it’s a popular material used in the construction of race car bodies, allowing them to stay very light yet maintain perfect rigidity. The benefits are identical when applying it to woofer construction, making it light enough to react quickly for a quick, tight response, yet strong enough to maintain its shape during challenging, explosive, bass-heavy passages so it’s free of unwanted distortion.

Woven Fiberglass Hybrid midrange and Aluminum Phase Plug
(Brighton Towers/Bookshelf Speakers)
The Woven Fiberglass Hybrid midrange cone is identical to the Woven Fiberglass Hybrid woofer with the important addition of a true phase plug. Midranges benefit from a true phase plug to help synchronize the sound that comes from the edge and center of the cone and time align the frequencies in the 300Hz-2K range. Frequencies below this, like those from a woofer, are omnidirectional by nature and do not need a phase plug which actually limits the SPL of a woofer. The phase plug slows down the acoustic wave from the center of the cone so it's transmitted at the same time as the acoustic wave from the edge, which is marginally slower, for perfect sonic accuracy. It also reduces cone mass to permit an extended frequency response and allows more airflow through the motor structure which improves cooling, thus increasing power handling.

DALtech Acoustic Damping (Brighton Tower Speakers)
Distortion occurs when a speaker resonates from the speaker’s own energy, discoloring the desired sound and resulting in reduced sound quality. DALtech, which stands for Dead as Lead Technology, is an acoustic damping material that eliminates this distortion when strategically installed in specific parts of the speaker cabinet, capturing and absorbing the unwanted resonances for pure, untainted speaker reproduction.

Percussive Woofer (Brighton Subwoofers)
The Injection Molded Percussive Cones were specifically created to handle the staggering task of producing bass that plumbs to subterranean depth. These drivers accomplish the challenge, exhibiting excellent waveform properties while handing extreme low frequencies delivered with enormous force to ensure it meets Sinclair’s performance standards and satisfies all ears.

Planar Depth Radiators (Brighton 310s)
Sheets of thin resin bonded wood fibers are heat formed and pressurized into planar radiators and supported by dual surrounds located in front and behind the driver. Spurred into action by the air pressure created within the sealed cabinet by the active Percussive driver, they provide all the benefits of a tuned port without the associated noise caused by air turbulence.

Purely a cosmetic feature but nonetheless one that makes it clear that Sinclair is dedicated to developing unique custom speakers and more importantly, we know what customers want from them. Metal Alloy Tweeters (Architex Series)
Metal Alloy tweeter domes provide exceptional power handling, wide dispersion, low distortion and quick decay time. A cloth suspension prevents resonance and allows it to extend to lower frequencies without distortion, while ferrofluid in the gap keeps it cool. The tweeter is fitted with a Time Domain Equalizer that optimizes dispersion and reduces resonance inherent in metal domes in the 22kHz-28kHz region of frequencies.

Speaker placement can have a huge effect on the sound produced by a speaker as boundaries, furniture, and listening position all factor into the final sound you hear. To compensate for the shortcomings of most rooms, and to better appeal to personal tastes and preferences, the Architex series are equipped with Tweeter and Woofer tone controls, effectively altering the sound by plus or minus 3dB to tailor the sound to perfectly suit your listening preferences.

Fusion Woofers (Sculptura Series)
A speaker must provide more than just clear high frequencies and the Fusion woofers deliver high-impact yet natural bass. Injection molded, polypropylene woofers are infused with a proprietary polymer blend for the added strength needed to maintain its shape during the deep bass passages. These cones are mated to rubber composite suspensions to allow a very smooth, linear motion for improved transparency and practically non-existent distortion. This incredibly slim driver sits in an injected copolymer basket that is impervious to the ringing associated with metal baskets.

Uniform Crossover Topology (All Sinclair Audio Speakers)
The crossover is the first stop of the incoming signal and plays as vital a role to the performance as the drivers and cabinet. The Sculptura series uses the same high quality capacitors, resistors and other crossover components in all models. This guarantees not only wonderful performance but that the overall sonic characteristics such as timbre and tone are maintained throughout the line, allowing you to mix and match them however you like and get perfectly balanced, impressive sounding systems.

MDF Cabinet Construction (All Sinclair Audio Speakers)
Medium Density Fiberboard is a solid and inert material that is substantially sonically superior to other materials typically used in a slim system such as plastic or aluminum. The ultra slim Fusion woofers allowed us to use this preferred cabinet material and when combined with strategically placed damping material, effectively controls cabinet wall vibration and standing waves. This results in open midrange clarity, detailed vocals and a deeper bass response.
